The gang mostly offers little resistance, but the hyena hybrid, Woof, causes Batman some trouble and the Jokerz make off, but Batman is able to pursue. They are, of course, confronted by Batman.

Our movie opens with the Jokerz gang attempting to rob a piece of high tech equipment. For the purposes of this review, I am watching the uncut version. Several years later the uncut version was released. Most of these were due to the 1999 Columbine high school shootings. The film is also the subject of some controversy as it was subject to extensive cuts and edits to remove excessive violence, blood, and even changing several plot points. Where it falls in continuity of the show is up for some debate though it’s believed to have taken place after the 3rd and final season of the show, it was released during the 3rd season. Return of the Joker was a Direct-to-DVD movie released in 2000. The look of the series also was a interesting follow up as it is set in the future so the Tech noir was a nice contrast from the film noir style of Batman: TAS. The voice acting is great with Kevin Conroy continuing as Bruce Wayne and Will Friedle voicing Terry. Set 40 years in the future, Batman Beyond follows Terry McGinniss as the new Batman with the help of an elderly Bruce Wayne. In 1999, Batman Beyond debuted as a sequel series. The biggest change was the replacement of Dick Grayson as Robin as he became Nightwing and Tim Drake took over as Robin, yes this is important for this review. The series was followed by The New Batman adventures in 1997 and continued the story and characters though some character designs were changed. The art style, story telling, characterization, and complexity were all amazing and still hold up to this day. Batman The Animated Series (TAS) started in 1992 and has become one of the most acclaimed TV shows of all time.
